Picture
Throughout high school, James received ballet training at Deane Dance Center in Sacramento, CA.  He deferred from Princeton to dance as a trainee with the San Francisco Ballet, performing lead roles in John Neumeier's "Yondering," and Edgar Zendejas' "Crumbling."  For the next two years James joined the National Ballet of Canada, dancing featured roles in Twyla Tharp's "In the Upper Room," Nureyev's "Sleeping Beauty," Jorma Elo's "Pur ti Miro," and works by Aszure Barton, Sabrina Matthews, and Peter Quanz, among others.
