Our MissionFounded in 2008, Princeton University Ballet is Princeton’s only ballet-focused student group—a selective, innovative, and dynamic company dedicated to bringing professional-quality performances to the University and the greater Princeton community. Each semester, the company stages original student works, guest commissions, and repertory productions, culminating in our seasonal shows drawing hundreds of students, faculty, alumni, and community members to Princeton’s historic Frist and Hearst Theaters.
As members of both a diverse university community and a traditionally restrictive art form, we commit to the pursuit of a more inclusive environment. We strive to renew the expression of ballet while maintaining a strong technical base. Our dancers hail from nationally-recognized ballet schools and dance conservatories, distinctively positioning us as a selective company of student artists promoting agency, collaboration, and creative exploration among dancers. |
