Dance Background: Emily Avery began her ballet training in New Hampshire at the age of three. She went on to train at the Portland School of Ballet as a member of their CORPS program under directors Joseph Morrissey, Sasha Yapparov, and Lesley Tunstall. Emily spent her summers at schools such as the Paris Opera Ballet School, the Royal Ballet School of London, the San Francisco Ballet School, and the Houston Ballet Academy. For the past two years, Emily has been an apprentice to the Portland Ballet Company, where she performed roles such as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Clara in The Victorian Nutcracker, Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and a wili in Giselle.
