Cici Yu

Hometown: Shanghai and Princeton, NJ
Dance Background: Cici started dancing at Little Star Studio in Shanghai at 3 where she trained in traditional Chinese dance and ballet. There, she completed all of the Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams (from primary to Advanced 2) with a distinction. At 12, she moved to Princeton where she joined Princeton Ballet School's Conservatory Program and focused primarily on classical ballet and contemporary. Some repertoire that she has performed include the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Coppelia, and Le Corsaire. Throughout high school, she competed in Youth America Grand Prix and American Dance Competition. She received 2nd place in YAGP Boston in 2022 and 2023, and 8th place at ADCIBC Finals in 2023. She has attended summer intensive programs at the Royal Ballet School, Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, and International Ballet Academy.
